1 lb kielbasa ( min. you can put more in if you like )
aprox. 3-4 lbs red potatoes ( I use klondike rose ones, yummy!! )
3-4 medium onions
2-3 medium green bell peppers
Worcestershire sauce
5 beef bullion cubes
5 chicken bullion cubes
salt
pepper
italian seasoning herbs
water
- Slice the kielbasa into 1/4 inch circles then cut those in half ( so you have half moon shapes )
- chop onions and peppers, leave 'em a little chunky
- cut potatoes into chunks
- Put it all into a pot
- Shake some worcestershire sauce in
- put some hot water in a bowl ( to melt cubes )
- unwrap cubes, put them in water and wait till they are soft, then moosh them.
- pour water into pot over mixture of veggies and meat, add more water till it just barely covers the ingredients
- Salt, Pepper and about 1 tbs of italian herbs
- put a lid on it, take it off once it bubbles.
- cook on medium heat till potatoes are done.
- Taste the broth when you are done to see if it needs more seasoning, you don't want a bland broth with it. You may have to scoop some of the juice out and add a bullion cube or so.
We like to have some crusty bread with this to soak, you may want to try it too.
Let me know what you think! I really like this soup and my kids eat it up like it is going out of style.
